What’s in a name?

Hi guys,
Hope this doesn’t come across as a really stupid question, or should I say, hope this doesn’t come across as a question that shows my stupidity…

You have me interested in the name “96boards”. Can you shed some light on where the name came from and whether it means anything in particular?

As far as I recall the “96” comes from adding 32 and 64 (as in 32-bit and 64-bit architectures)… and the boards part is basically just descriptive.

I guess it could also be viewed as an ambitious goal. The silkscreen of some of the earlier designs has 1/96 and 2/96. Whilst there are not 96 products yet I think, with the mezzanines, we are well into the thirties…
