Video playback shows just a black screen with audio playing seamlessly

Dear all,

I am using Android 6.0.1 on Dragonboard 410c

I develop an app to play video files repeated. Sometimes black screen problem occurs but audio can normally play (sometimes it occurs once in serveral days and sometimes it occurs several times in a day). I’ve googled and found some suggestions but neither can resolve the problem. I believe the problem is not caused by my app but Android’s media player. Sorry that I am not familiar with the control flow of video playback. Can anyone suggest how I debug it? starting from nu player or somewhere? which files to be debugged?

Is it different formats of video that you played or you tested it out on only one format?

Hi,

The video can be played normally, but it occasionally shows black screen. Google the problem and it’s Android problem and no fix yet.
