Power measurement with sense resistor on rock960 v1.3+

Hi,

the website indicates the hardware revision 1.3 added the sense resistors on the board in order to do power measurement. I’ve a 1.4 version and I would like to do a setup for power measurement.

However I did find any documentation about that. Does someone have a pointer ?

Thanks in advance

Board based on the Rockchip RK3399 - ARM Cortex-A72 Dual-core up to 1.8GHz + Cortex A53 Quad-core up to 1.4GHz

Eh, I = V/R
V is the voltage drop across the resistor.
R is the resistance of the resistor.

Thanks for answering.

Actually, I need to know where the resistors are what values are they have (assuming they are already soldered on the board)

Its a big fat 1206 resistor. I’m not aware of where the resistance is documented, but easily measured with an ohmmeter.

Not knowing if yours is an A/B or a C board, in all cases, the current sense resistor is on the bottom of the board near the DC in jack.

But to be honest, it would probably be easier and more accurate if you used an inline ammeter on the power wire.

Oh, ok. Then it is a vbat probe point, right ? Not at the PMIC level for the package ?

Correct. You need to hook up and make your own measurements and do your own math.

Thanks for the answer
