I’m running Linaro on the DragonBoard 410C and it feels very sluggish, just opening the file browser or the web browser. When I try to move a window it moves slowly to the final position while the mouse pointer arrives up to 2 seconds before the image. Sometimes it even freezes and closes the windows already opened.
Does anyone have any solution?
I’ll appreciate any help.
Can you provide more information about the image that you are using with your board?
Output of the following commands should already be enough:
$ cat /etc/os-release
$ uname -a
Hello Mr. Salveti
Here is the output:
linaro@linaro-alip:~$ uname -a Linux linaro-alip 4.2.0-linaro-lt-qcom #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Sep 30 18:55:59 UTC 2015 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux linaro@linaro-alip:~$ cat /etc/os-release NAME="Ubuntu" VERSION="15.04 (Vivid Vervet)" ID=ubuntu ID_LIKE=debian PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 15.04" VERSION_ID="15.04" HOME_URL="http://www.ubuntu.com/" SUPPORT_URL="http://help.ubuntu.com/" BUG_REPORT_URL="http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/"
we have observed such things. it seems to be something related to openbox. If we install another window manager (like kwin) we do not observe such lag/performance issue. We haven’t investigated much yet. It could be a genuine issue with openbox (like maybe on aarch64…)…
Can you tell more about what you want to do with our images? Any specific use case that is important for you?
There is an opened bug about this too: https://bugs.96boards.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72
