Cannot boot into Recovery Mode

Hi all,

I just got the board today and have been trying to boot into recovery mode. For some reason, no matter how the jumper is arranged, if pins 3-4 are closed, then the board refuses to boot. No lights or screen output. Booting normally works fine, with pins 1-2 closed and open. Anything I’m missing?

I have it connected to the recomended 12V, 2A power and have tried it with and without the UART and HDMI cables.
