Bluetooth Connection and File Transfer Issue in DragonBoard410c

Hello,

We have dragonboard 410c with openembedded 17.09 prebuilt images flashed. We tried to connect to android mobile via bluetooth using bluetoothctl utility. Device discovery and pairing is successful, but we are not able to connect to the device.

bluetoothctl is for device configuration/pairing. what you typically need in that case is the obexd daemon for obex profile implementation and obexctl as obex client to test transfer. You need dbus-launch as well since obexd request a dbus session bus.

So once the device is paired (with bluetoothctl) you can use obexctl:

$ export $(dbus-launch)
$ /usr/lib/bluetooth/obexd &
$ obexctl
[obex]# connect 98:0C:A5:13:D9:DC
[obex]# send /home/linaro/test.jpg

You also have several python examples in the bluez git if you want to interface directly with the obex interface (without using obexctl).

Hello,

We also faced similar issue. We were able to solve it using above mentioned solution. We also tried file transfer using obexftp. We were able to send the file but not able to retrieve from remote device. Obexctl pull command also didn’t work. At the remote side we were using android phone with obex ftp profile support.

Which tool are you using for FTP server implementation on Android device, It could require a relative path.
On my side I tried your command successfully with DB410C (linaro 17.09) + Android Phone + ‘Bluetooth File Transfer’ application.
obexftp -b F0:D7:AA:44:C2:25 -B 20 --get temp.jpg

Note that you have an extra space in your command ‘/storage /emulated/0/720p60.mp4’.
