AOSP 7.1.2 r33 stuck in boot loop on HiKey

I followed the instructions on the AOSP site and here: How to make boot.img file to build and install AOSP for the HiKey, however when I try to boot it the board gets stuck in a loop:

Your surfaceflinger service is unable to execute correctly.
Could you double check you don’t miss the following steps:
https://source.android.com/source/devices#620userspace

You need to have https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/linaro-hikey-20170523-4b9ebaff.tgz self extracted in your android tree to have vendor libs (mali…) before building.

Yes seems to be the same issue, this is maybe a global issue on Hikey.
For debug purpose, could you please try the following in your adb shell:

Yes, SurfaceFlinger seems to be killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT), could be interesting to have the abort message/backtrace.
You should able to find this in logcat after the crash.

Hello, is this problem fixed in the main branch of Hikey?

I’ve encountered this discussion as I have some problem when my own hikey with USB devices.
On adb shell, as I print out dmesg, I get this message.

I just wanted to make sure this issue with the main branch for hikey kernel is resolved.

Yes original issue is a compatibility problem without older version, It should be ok on master branch.
If you don’t have any other issue, you should not worry about the init error message (which is not related to this topic).
