As mentioned in a few places, the DragonBoard 820c is an upcoming board from Arrow, based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 that follows the 96boards specifications (extended size flavor). While the board is not officially launched yet, a beta version / prototype is available to some developers, including developers at Linaro.

This forum can be used for any support question related to the beta version of the board. A lot development is happening for this board/SoC in the relevant upstream communities and users are very much encouraged to join these efforts!

Please note that there is no formal/official release available for DragonBoard 820c Beta yet, and that the proprietary firmware are also not publicly available on Qualcomm Developer Network (QDN).

It was. I got one. Now it’s back to 0 again. :disappointed:

  • When will this forum get out of the beta state?
  • When will the DB 820c be available in large quantities from Arrow or any other distributors?
  • What’s the ETA for DB 820c SOM for evaluation?
  • What’s the ETA for DB 820c SOM in large quantities?

I suspect this will happen when there is a proper software release for
it (currently Debian is only available as a snapshot). This is due to
happen “soon” but doesn’t have a hard date.

Not sure I’m afraid. @billdavies?

Do you really mean DB? I wasn’t aware of any plans for a Dragonboard
branded SoM. I believe Snadragon 820c SoM’s are already shipping but you
would have to discuss availability with the respective vendors.
