After updating my kernel to Linaro 18.01, USB won’t work anymore and seems to be stuck in device mode (USB_SW_SEL is always low). It was working before on the 17.06.1 release. Any idea what’s change?

Having the programming micro usb cable connected will force the board in device mode. Maybe that is the case.

can you please provide a complete boot log? and also the output of lsusb command?
In 18.01, USB Host should work, and USB device is not expected to work. But you seem to report the other way around.

USB Host is finally working. Not sure what was wrong but after complete reinstall it was working fine.
