Unique/Serial Number

The DB410c has a serial number attribute at /sys/bus/soc/devices/soc0/serial_number however this appears to be the same (2644893864) on all Dragonboards.
Is the intension of /sys/bus/soc/devices/soc0/serial_number to provide an actual “serial number” identifying the SoC?
Is there another unique number available on the Dragonboard that can be used as an idetification?

The eMMC serial number should be different between boards (unless you have a very big sample set).

Thanks for the info.
I have checked 12 boards.
In all cases /sys/bus/soc/devices/soc0/serial_number returns 2644893864.
I have another 250 boards from another batch and the first I checked also returned 2644893864.
Looking at the kernel /sys/bus/soc/devices/soc0/ is populated from the APQ8016.
So it doesn’t look like the APQ8016 has an actual serial number.

Given your reply that the eMMC provides a unique number I found the following
/sys/bus/mmc/devices/mmc0:0001/serial which does look to be different on my sample.
Is this the eMMC number you suggested?

Thanks.

Yes.
