I cant enter to cd $ANDROID_BUILD_TOP/kernel

I´m following the dsi porting guide but i can´t enter the command cd $ANDROID_BUILD_TOP/kernel i don´t know how to use it, do i have to do something before?

“cd $ANDROID_BUILD_TOP/kernel”

Did you “mkdir” kernel folder @\data or did you find $ANDROID_BUILD_TOP/kernel ?

And how did you do the below command.
“cd $ANDROID_BUILD_TOP/ bootable/bootloader/lk”

ANDROID_BUILD_TOP just means the directory that contains the android source. Its the fully qualified path to a directory that looks something like: APQ8016_410C_LA.BR.1.2.4-01810-8x16.0_5.1.1_Lollipop_P2/
