I don’t really know.
There’s nothing in my logbook that suggested I even tested HDMI to see if it worked… so you can try something like console=/dev/tty0 but I have no idea if it will do anything useful.

@danielt can you give me detailed instructions on how you flashed a kernel to your Mediatek device I have a compiled Mediatek Gitlab source from Baylibre just not sure how to flash it.
