Display on Hikey960

Hi

We want to enable display on Hikey960 using Debian.

  1. Is there any Debian distro is readily available.?
  2. If not please provide pointers on how to make display working.

Thanks.

Is there something unusual about your display? Typically, people will use an HDMI display, in which case enabling it is as simple as plugging it in and turning on the power.

But note that hikey960 does not have a native HDMI port, so it uses a DSI to HDMI bridge (ADV7535), which works for the most part, HOWEVER, certain HDMI monitors are somewhat sensitive to timings, which the hikey960 is not able to reproduce accurately, which means that some monitors simply will not work.

If this is the case for you, please try a different monitor.

@Vikram Please refer to Does latest rpb desktop image (Debian) supports hdmi on hikey960? - #41 by sumit.garg thread to get HDMI display working with Debian image.
