Coresight on HiKey 970

I want to use coresight on my hikey 970, but the kernel shipped does not have it enabled and all information I find are for the hikey 960.

So - how do I get a kernel with coresight support on my hikey 970?

  1. op-tee only has a build for hikey 960 - can I use the this one without bricking my 970?

  2. which kernel should I use? the linaro one on android.googlesources.com/kernel/linaro-… are 3 years old and also only for the 960. Can I use a stock most current one from linux.org?
