Boot from SD Card

Hi, I would like to know if it’s possible to run Windows 10 IoT from the SD Card, instead of installing it on the eMMC Card.

I want to do that because i Would like to have another SD Card with Android OS.

As a surprise today as long as I removed my Windows IoT SD Card the UWP application was still running. I was not expected OS was saved on the board.

Judging from the instructions in the link below, your observation seems to be as expected.

From the instructions, it appears that you have to install it using the Dragonboard update tool.
